The recipient of the 2004 Area 8 Camp Shootout Scholarship is 14-year old B.J. Norris of Bentonville, VA. He was selected from among a pool of well-deserving applicants.
B.J. is already known as an up-and-coming junior shooter. Most importantly however, he has also already distinguished himself as a selfless USPSA member. Not only has he held his RO card for a year (he is a familiar sight working stages at some of our larger matches in Area 8), but he has served as the Match Director at his local club, North Mountain Practical Shooters, for nearly three years.
B.J. is an outstanding example of the fine young men and women in our sport. He will be an excellent representative of Area 8.
